World Stroke Day

In cardioavascular disease, Stroke is the twin of heart attack. Though affecting brain, it shares the same pathology, risk factors and the consequences – death and disability. Fortunately, it is preventable like heart attack, and timely action can save life. To create awareness about this condition, World Stroke Day is observed on 29th October every year. We at the HCSA have taken the opportunity to organise a program yesterday in association with Dalmia Cements to focus on preventing and surviving stroke by timely measures. The essential point is that there is not much difference in heart care and brain care….the risk factors are same and so controlling those risk factors will benefit both the organs….in marketing strategy, buy one, get one free. What better way to celebrate life!

The program was held in hybrid mode with vitual participation of staff of Dalmia Cements from 4 distant locations. The interaction was lively and the presence of many enthusiastic HCSA members was very encouraging… Thanks to all for your support for the cause.
